When you create a set, you have to input the quantities per unit for one set. E.g.: when you want a set having say, 12 tiles per square meter you would input 12 as a quantity per unit.
Now you can tell QDV that you want to evaluate your set for another quantity. Let’s say in example that we want to evaluate it for 10 square meters.
You can insert the new native column Evaluated Quantity and in the Variables for Sets field, in the heading row, you would input the variable QEval=10 to tell the set that you want to evaluate for a quantity of 10 instead of 1.
With this, you can input directly your quantities for 10 in the Evaluated Quantity column and express all your formulas for a quantity of 10.
When you edit a formula in a set having such a quantity for evaluation, the QEVal variable always appears on top of the list.
The sample Sample_With_Formula_For_Quantity.qdv has been updated to illustrate these new features.
